The 8th Wonder is the second studio album by American hip-hop group Sugarhill Gang, released in 1982. It includes their hit single "Rapper's Delight".
The album was produced by Sylvia Robinson, who was the founder and owner of their record label Sugar Hill Records, and her husband Joe Robinson, who co-wrote some of the songs.
The title track "8th Wonder" was also a hit single and features a catchy hook, with each member of the group rapping about a different historical or cultural figure, including Beethoven, Cleopatra, and Superman.
The album received mixed reviews upon its release, with some critics praising the group's storytelling abilities and others criticizing the simplistic lyrics and lack of artistic growth.
Today, it is considered a classic of old school hip-hop and a groundbreaking album in the genre's history.
